Eldon Benz ......... Photography
Eldon’s sculptures, drawings, and photography combine his art with his computer knowledge and skills. He describes his art as “Fun - Whimsy - Process”.
A large number of Eldon’s photographs include Southern Illinois Nature photography. Eldon has exhibited his art across Southern Illinois, including the Biennial Southern Illinois Artists Open Competition at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, Art Around the Square, HairBrains, and several restaurants and wineries. He has also exhibited at Studio de Michel in St. Genevieve, Missouri. His 2009 winning entry to the Red Cube Project is on exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago, and his Mobile 4 won second prize at HerrinFesta Italiana Art Exhibition in 2010.
El graduated from SIUC in 1974 with a BA in art with foci on sculpture and printmaking. Eldon remained in Southern Illinois. Since that time, he has designed and built multiple buildings and items, including: a 30’ geodesic dome, his current two story home, a unique storage building and dog kennels.
Eldon's show will be on display inside at Rustle Hill during September, 2010.
