  Shannon Green ......... Painting

Shannon Green is a Southern Illinois Artist and Early  Childhood Educator. She has been living and working in Southern Illinois for a number of years, and has recently returned to Carbondale to pursue her Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern Illinois University. 

Shannon works in a wide variety of media including fibers, ink, watercolor, and acrylic painting.  Her work in acrylic painting stems from both her work with young children and her love of nature.  While embarking on an educational project study with children and flower gardens, Shannon uncovered a passion for floral painting that complements her always growing interest in the complex world of nature.
